Hello dear junior students!
Like all other students, you have received (or will receive) an invitation to the Orientation Unit (OU) at your departmental advising office. The OU is a course organized by students from higher semesters and is intended to make it easy for all first-year students to start their studies.
We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that OU is at least as important for junior students as it is for everyone else: Just like most first-year students, you are coming out of school and are not yet familiar with the processes and structures of the university. What do lectures look like? What are exercises? Who can I turn to if I have questions? How do I use the computers at the Informatikum? All these (and of course many more) questions will be answered during the OU. In addition, you will meet a former junior student who can give you important tips about junior studies in computer science. You will also have the opportunity to meet your fellow students (including the other junior students).
As you can see, you are not only welcome, we are also well prepared for you! Since the OU for junior students will take place together with the OU for first semester students, you can find all further information on the homepage.
In addition, we have some important information for you:
We look forward to meeting you in the OU!
